SATIATE At the Intersection of Art, Music, Cannabis, and Communal Dining

From the beginning, The Legion of Bloom has been focused on creating elevated experiences for our clientele--always has been, always will be. We pride ourselves on coming up with inventive ways to enjoy our award-winning cannabis products and are excited to introduce the LEGION tribe to our latest collaborative concept: SATIATE: An intimate event where art, music, cannabis, and communal dining intersect. When the opportunity arose to team up with our friends at Euphonic Conceptions and Chief de Cuisine at Palette SF Parker Brown, we knew the time was right to curate and bring into fruition SATIATE.

The concept for SATIATE was to craft an occasion that pays homage to more than the power of community, good food, and great cannabis, but also to highlight the role that all five senses play in driving one's experiences in life. Letting the flavor of the culinary courses stand alone without being infused with cannabis, we used the PAX Era and LEGION Era pods to provide the cannabis experience. Allowing guests the opportunity to control their dose as they saw fit. SATIATE also allowed us to illuminate the powerful role terpenes play in determining not just the smell and flavor of your favorite food dishes or cannabis strains, but also how they could be combined to enhance and complement a shared experience. Ask yourself: Are terpenes present in every plant on the planet? Are they relied upon to change your mood, as evidenced by aromatherapy? By extension, one can argue that the quality of the food you eat can play a direct role in the way you feel based upon the variety of terpenes that are present in the food you’re consuming. The guests at SATIATE discovered that the secret to creating a memorable occasion--something special, or even something exceptional--is to combine quality culinary experiences with quality cannabis ones in the right set and setting

The Palette art gallery, which is currently adorned with contemporary works from local SF artists in this intimate setting, hosted the event as our guests indulged in a five-course meal paired with three of our Strain Specific PAX pods and one of our California Sauce Pods. Each course was paired with a non-alcoholic beverage that underscored the cuisine and a specific strain’s flavor profile. With DJ Mejiwahn cutting fresh vinyl tracks of smooth slow jams from the 70s on the decks, the vibes were high, and smiles and laughter filled the room.

The FOOD WAS NEXT LEVEL. The accompanying beverage pairings were so on point. Everyone agreed that the strain pairings and the PAX Era device made for a perfect complement to the experience. Many of the guests commented on how nice it was to have complete control of how much cannabis they consumed as opposed to playing roulette with an infused food offering.

We were blessed to have our good friend Marcia, of Mymilligram and TableHopper, in attendance. Her flair for the delectable would not keep her away from an event like this, and her infectiously bubbly personality added an exclamation point to an already stellar evening. This event was the first of its kind for us, but with creative partners like these, the future looks bright. Crafting excellent curated experiences is what we do at the LEGION, and getting to work with culinary greats the likes of Palette SF to bring this event to reality was a fantastic opportunity.
