THE LEGION'S ENTOURAGE TERPENE CHAMPAGNE
On August 3rd, The Legion of Bloom joined The Wine Industry Network for the very first Wine and Weed Symposium at Vineyard Creek in Santa Rosa. With over 500 people in attendance, the day-long conference created a dialogue between purveyors in the cannabis and wine industries, and examined the impact that prop 64 will have on regulations, licensing, hospitality, and farming across both industries.
Among the Weed and Wine Symposium speakers were California Senator Mike McGuire, Executive Director of the California Growers Association, Hezekiah Allen, Co-founder and Executive Director of the National Cannabis Industry Association, Aaron Smith, and Chairwoman of the Sonoma County Growers Alliance and California Growers Association, Tawnie Logan.
The Legion of Bloom sat among 40+ exhibiting companies, and used the space to offer tastings of Entourage: Terpene Champagne. Entourage is a non-psychoactive sparkling beverage featuring a flavor derived from the terpenes of the Pineapple strain cultivated by the Legion Family in the Russian River Valley appellation of Sonoma County. The product tasting created a very unique experience for attendees; by drinking the essence of a specific cannabis strain and learning about each terpenes' interaction with cannabinoids and the body’s endo-cannabinoid system, taste-testers were able to speak to the similarities and experiential value that both industries are bringing to the table.
Attendees left with information about both budding industries and learned
about opportunities for collaboration in the two agriculturally-focused fields.
